Supplier data

Architecture

Technical description

The HTTP exchange exports product information from BAS to the online store and imports customer orders in the opposite direction. A separate workflow matches supplier products to accounting records.

Data scope

Products, attributes, prices, stock balances by warehouse and customer orders. Price and availability lookup uses an SKU or code; unmatched supplier items require separate handling.

Our implementation

Custom HTTP exchange modules, product and status mappings, and enhancements to product lookup and data entry. Warehouse stock is an accounting dimension inside BAS, rather than a separate WMS integration.

Requirements for a new project

Agree product identifiers, the direction of each data set, status rules and sample orders. The store platform, update schedule and performance requirements are specified for each project.

What we developed

Custom exchange modules and configuration enhancements

  1. Developed an HTTP-based exchange and customer order creation in BAS.
  2. Configured the transfer of products, attributes, prices and stock balances by warehouse, with price and availability lookup by SKU or code.
  3. Added supplier data import and product matching, including handling of unmatched items.
  4. Aligned reference data and statuses between the store and accounting system, and enhanced product lookup and data entry.

Implementation result

Implementation result

Orders from the website continue through the BAS workflow. Products, prices and stock balances follow shared exchange rules.
