The warehouse system needs BAS master data in an agreed structure without re-entering product information.

Product and warehouse master data

Architecture

BAS supplies master data to WMS. A custom integration module prepares the agreed structure, authenticates and transfers data over HTTP/JSON.

Products, barcodes, warehouses, brands, product groups and types, units of measure and discontinued-product flags.

One-way export from BAS to WMS. Warehouse operations, picking, storage locations and handheld terminal workflows are outside this implementation.

Verify identifiers, barcodes, units and the receiving WMS structure using agreed examples.

What we developed

Developed authentication and HTTP/JSON communication with WMS.
Implemented export of products, warehouses and barcodes.
Added brands, groups, product types, units of measure and the discontinued-product flag.

Implementation result

WMS receives prepared master data from the accounting system without the team having to recreate it in a second application.
